J.P. Johnson

President                                                                                                                                                          Executive Committee                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     JP Johnson is a Detective with the Stillwater Police Department.  He has been a police officer since 1997 and has specialized in the response to domestic violence over his entire career.  He has served on the Board of Directors since 2012 and has been Board President since 2017.  JP holds a Bachelor’s Degree in a double major of Psychology and Criminal Justice.

Melisa Parkerson

Melisa Parkerson has served as the director of membership for the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association since 2019 and was previously the director of student programs from 2007-2019.  She has worked in alumni relations and student programming for more than 16 years, having previously served as Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations at Oklahoma City University. Melisa’s main area of focus is connecting OSU alumni, students and friends with the university through membership in the association. She was recognized as a Golden Torch Award recipient in 2014 by OSU Mortar Board and an Outstanding Adviser in 2016 by CASE ASAP District IV for her work as a student adviser. Melisa graduated from OSU with a bachelor’s degree in zoology and resides in Stillwater with her husband, Ragan, and daughter, Averly.

Suzi Teague

Director

Suzi has lived in Stillwater since 2000 and has been a registered nurse since 2005. She has worked in public health, hospice, and labor and delivery. Currently, she works in Labor and Delivery at Stillwater Medical Center since 2016. As a Board member at Wings of Hope since 2015, she has served as Secretary and Vice President. She currently chairs the Nominations Committee and is a member of the Butterfly Committee.

Amie is passionate about many things, including her faith, her family, the power of a good belly laugh, and the way in which the world can thrive by means of education (especially when it comes to ourselves!). She has a heart for others, and knows the ripples and waves that can be created when individuals come together for good. 

Amie is a business owner in the Stillwater community, and is a nationally certified Gallup Strengths Coach who specializes in the areas of communication, relationship building, and presence. She brings with her years of experience in speaking, facilitating, training, human resources, and strategic planning, and is honored to have the opportunity to utilize her talents to help support the incredible impact and potential of the Wings of Hope.

Outside of owning her own business, and volunteering in different capacities in the community, Amie loves being with her husband Josh, their three beautiful children Ava, Miles, and Warren, cracking open a new book, drinking a good cup of coffee, exploring the outdoors, and spending an evening at the theater.

 

Alicia Smales

Alicia Ogrin Smales is a retired senior executive with over three decades of corporate experience with highly regarded global industrial and sporting goods companies. Her breadth of experience includes marketing and brand management, communications, and philanthropy. Alicia’s non-profit experience includes serving on the board of directors for SkillsUSA, developing a program with the Honor Flight Network, and fulfilling requests for Make-A-Wish. After leaving Snap-on Inc. as Chief Marketing Officer in 2016, Alicia transitioned  to higher education and currently teaches marketing strategy at OSU. She is passionate about student success both in the classroom and as they prepare to enter the world of work. Currently, Alicia serves on the Saint Francis Xavier Early Childhood Development Center Advisory Board, is an OSU student advisor for the American Association for University Women (AAUW), and is a student mentor. “After playing golf at OSU, I never thought I would return to Stillwater. I am happy to be back and look forward to serving Wings of Hope to end the cycle of domestic violence.”

Kevin Fowler

Kevin Fowler is Market President for Simmons Bank of Stillwater.  His wife Kris is an educator for Stillwater Public Schools. They are both Stillwater natives that feel blessed to be from Payne County. They enjoy contributing to the Community in a variety of ways. They also enjoy time with their adult children Anna & Will. “Joining the Wings of Hope Board in 2021 is very humbling and motivating. I hope to help continue the real progress the Agency is making against domestic violence.”

Michael Coulson

Director

Michael resides in Stillwater with his wife Jordyn and two sons, Julien and Jagger.  He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1997.  He has practiced law in and around Payne County since 1999.  Michael is grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Wings of Hope Board of Directors.
