How can we help?
The Sexual Assault Response Advocates (SARA) team is a group of people specifically trained to assist victims of sexual assault. If you are ever sexually assaulted, you can contact the SARA team lead directly at 405-880-4932, or you can call our 24 hour crisis line at 405-624-3020, and we will reach out to a SARA advocate for you. One of our advocates will meet you in person at the following locations in Payne County:
- Stillwater Medical Center
- Payne County Sheriff’s Department
- Payne County Police Department
- OSU Police Department (Only after 5 pm)
Your needs and wants are our priority. The SARA team advocates are here to fully support you by offering many local resources to recover from a traumatic event. They can help you fill out an emergency protective order against your abuser, fill out a Crime Victim Compensation form, and even be with you at the hospital for a sexual assault exam, and they will only assist you in ways that you feel comfortable with. If you need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
